Maayan Amir
Maayan Amir, (born 1978, in Hadera, Israel) is an artist and independent curator. ==Biography== She holds a BA in Art and an MFA in cinema from Tel-Aviv University. In 2011 she was a guest resident at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam. Amir edited a book about Israeli documentary cinema published in 2008. She has curated many exhibitions in various venues. Her work has been shown internationally in exhibitions such as the Sydney Biennale (2006), Istanbul Biennale (2009), and Berlin Biennale (2010), and in such venues as the Centre Pompidou (Paris), Art in General (NY), Tate Modern, and Jeu de Paume, among many others. In 2009, together with Ruti Sela she initiated"(The Exterritory Project )", for which they won an award (2011) for young artists from the The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
